civity presents factors for the success of the transport association at an international event in Peru

On Tuesday, 18 March, Dr. Arne Beck, partner at civity, attended an international conference in Lima, Peru. The event took place as part of the development of the transport association for Lima (Autoridad de Transporte Urbano - ATU) and was organised by the Peruvian Ministry of Transport, supported by GIZ (Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit), on behalf of the NAMA Facility.

Under the name "Moving towards an integrated urban transport system", the Deputy Minister of Transport was joined by other local politicians, experts from Germany and abroad and staff from international organisations such as the World Bank and GIZ.
Last Tuesday, Dr. Arne Beck, an expert in both transport network organisation and contract and award management, gave two presentations on the future role of ATU and on financing options for the new transport association. He also took part in the panel discussion on the internal ATU organisation.
ATU, Peru’s first ever transport association, will commence work at the beginning of April.
