It’s even easier now to travel by bus and train: Second phase of fair report for southern Lower Saxony underway
Performance-focussed and easier-to-use public transport: That is the aim of civity's survey of fares for public transport association Zweckverband Verkehrsverbund Süd-Niedersachsen (ZVSN) and the district of Holzminden, which has just entered its second phase.
In this phase, almost twenty fare measures are currently being examined with regard to their impact on demand and costs. The set of measures is based on a very broad-based analysis of fares carried out in 2018, in which not only the current fare situation but also the wishes of passengers and the requirements of the transport companies are taken into account. The forecast of the market and revenue effects of these fare measures will form an essential decision-making basis for the further development of fares.
The VSN fare is applied in the city and district of Göttingen as well as in the districts of Northeim and Holzminden. Individual municipalities/parts of municipalities in the districts of Goslar and Kassel are also included. The ZVSN and the district of Holzminden are responsible for bus transport in the three districts (outside the city of Göttingen).
