From 17 to 19 April 2019, the fourth International Conference of the Asset Management Working Group of the International Union of Railways (UIC) will take place in Paris. Under the title ‘Big Data Strategies – How can railways organise themselves to maximise benefit’, William Adeney, Principal at civity, and Caroline Held, Senior Consultant at civity, together with Caroline Lowe from Network Rail will report on best practice examples of organisation in the field of modelling, data analysis and data management from the railway and other industries. The presentation is based on two international studies on the topics of Big Data and Whole System Modelling conducted by Network Rail and civity last year.
